Herbal Holiday Gift Making at Remedy Garden

Come and delight in the joy of hand-crafting herbal holiday gifts! Carissa and Samantha will guide you in the process of making three herbal gifts your dear ones are sure to love. Woven with herbal folklore and plant wisdom, we will make herbal lip balm, local cedar smudge bundles, and herbal seasoning salts. This is a hands-on experience and everyone will walk away with 3 herbal lip balms, 2 salt seasonings and 2 cedar smudges along with ideas and recipes for making several other herbal gifts!

Lip Balm: With the changing weather, our lips need the extra support to keep them moist and protected from the cold winter chill. We will go over the basics of infused oils and the right ratios to get the perfect texture.

Herbal Seasoning Salts are a fantastic way to incorporate nutritive herbs into your daily cooking. We will cover different herbal blend suggestions that offer both deep nourishment and delicious flavor with every sprinkle.

Cedar Smudge Bundles: Evergreens are sacred trees that remind us that life continues in winter. Traditionally, evergreens were brought into the home to protect the hearth from malevolent spirits, letting their aromatic essence fill the space. In class we will dive deeper into the folklore of evergreens as we wrap local cedar with intentions of protection and love. We will also include other plants, giving each smudge their own unique essence.
