Making Plant Medicine

Plant medicines empower us to take our health back into our own hands. We believe everyone should have access to this traditional knowledge.
Whether you source your plants from the wild, grow your own or purchase from a trusted source, we will show you how to use them in the kitchen and the home apothecary!
Learn tools and techniques to create your own potent herbal salves, tinctures, medicinal honeys, elixirs and much more!
We will also be sharing about the medicinal uses and properties of the plants used in the workshop.
Note: This is a 4-part series occurring every Monday evening from 6pm-8.30pm.
May 1: Herbal Infused Oils and Salves
May 8: Teas, Decoctions and Syrups
May 15: Tinctures and Elixirs
May 22: Honeys, Oxymels and Herbal Foods
Instructor: This series will be taught by Jahwei Chen-Graf
The classes will be held at Elixart in downtown Nevada City on Monday evenings.
Cost: $349 for the series including all materials.
*Take home samples of the medicines made in class
*Printed handouts of the classes with recipes
*Herbal tea and light snacks.
Refund Policy:Please understand that due to the amount of preparation required to put on these classes we cannot offer any refunds for missed classes. If you are unable to attend, you are able to transfer the class to a friend (please let us know in advance).
Teacher Bio: Jahwei Chen-Graf is a naturopath and clinical herbalist who has been working with plant medicines for over 25 years. She is a seasoned medicine maker, formulator of the Remedy Garden line of plant potions and ready to share her tips and secrets for making high quality and powerful herbal remedies.
