LEARN HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN HERBAL MEDICINES!
Join us for an introduction to the art of herbal medicine making. Learn simple tools and techniques to create your own herbal salves, tinctures, medicinal honeys, elixirs and much more!
Plant medicines empower us to take our health back into our own hands. We believe everyone should have access to this traditional knowledge. Whether you source your plants from the wild, grow your own, or purchase from a trusted source, we will show you how to use them in the kitchen and the home apothecary!
Class participants will receive take home samples of products made in class as well as comprehensive notes with recipes. This is a four part series occurring every Tuesday evening from 6pm-8pm.
October 29th: Week 1: Teas, Decoctions and Syrups
November 5th: Week 2: Herbal Infused Oils and Salves
November 12th: Week 3: Honeys, Oxymels and Herbal Foods
November 19th: Week 4: Tinctures and Elixirs
Instructors: This series will be co-taught by Jahwei Chen-Graf, B.Nat, Clinical Herbalist and Daylin Wade, M.S. Clinical Herbalist. Both herbalists work behind the counter at Remedy Garden Apothecary in Nevada City and have years of experience in growing and using medicinal herbs.
